Aims
The Iranian Association for Quaternary Research (IRAQA), in its 4th International Conference, invites Iranian and international researchers specializing in various disciplines of Quaternary sciences. The primary aim is to facilitate the exchange of global and regional research methodologies and to promote interdisciplinary studies. Through this, the conference seeks to establish a pathway for confronting and enhancing resilience against pressing environmental challenges such as land subsidence, atmospheric dust, soil erosion, contamination of water and soil resources, and global warming.
The conference sessions will cover interdisciplinary topics, including Quaternary geomorphic changes, paleoclimate, biodiversity and soil sciences, natural hazards, sedimentology, stratigraphy, sediment dating, archaeology, aeolian dust, subsidence, and slope movements. This conference provides an ideal opportunity for sharing knowledge and expertise and for fostering constructive engagement among the scientific community, policymakers, and other stakeholders, towards the effective management of Quaternary landscapes in the face of the challenges of the Anthropocene.
